TODAY’S TOPIC – Guest Instructor Series Gets Underway

This week and for the next several weeks, I have a special guest instructor who will be providing us with the benefit of his years of experience in playing the guitar. Our focus here at at Guitar-Leads and Learn2Jam has been on playing lead guitar and taking solos… so in this series of video instruction we’ll also try to focus on this. Whether the topic is something basic or more advanced, I think you’ll find a unique perspective that you can learn something from. Best of all they cost you nothing. Let’s go ahead and get started.

For today, I have two videos from our guest instructor. In this first video with tablature and fretboard diagram, our guest instructor shows you one of many ways to link different scale patterns together for playing hot lead guitar.

This second video lesson provides you with a an alternate picking technique. It’s a “less is more” approach when you attack the strings with your pick.

China Grove Solo – 3-Speed Practice Lesson

Here is a third video tutorial. It is entitled ” A guitar lesson from a non-guitarist. ” I think you will find it interesting. It’s a bit of a different take on things. One of the things created during this video lesson is a 3 speed practice lesson for solo found in the classic rock song, China Grove by the Doobie Brothers. Here is the link to this video tutorial.
